Born on 15 January 2001, Wikipedia has forever changed the ways we consume knowledge as nothing was out of reach anymore. It made it possible to solve trivia if you had access to wifi, it made us consume thousands of random facts, names, dates and places we won’t ever need, it helped us to make a fierce impression on a first date, and served as a holy grail of all of our high school Powerpoint presentations.
Still today, it’s our go-to source for learning stuff we don’t even bother to double-check, and it’s the place you stumble across a whole Wikipedia page dedicated to the life of your random-ass neighbor.
But something as big and influential as our beloved digital encyclopedia has to have something so much more going on we don’t see. Luckily, thanks to the ‘Depths of Wikipedia’ Instagram page, we now are able to dive deep beneath that iceberg and see all the weird and wonderful things published on there. “Wikipedia is Weird!” states the page’s slogan, but trust me, it gets way weirder than that. Get your snorkels ready, we’re about to dive deep!

#81 When You You Just Can’t Stand An Employee But You’d Feel Bad Firing Them And You Don’t Want To Do All The Paperwork That A Termination Would Ensue... You Promote! And A Company Ends Up With People Like Michael Scott (Great Salesman, Terrible Boss).the Dilbert Principle Started As A Satirical Theory But The Cartoonist Expanded It Into A Bona Fide Business Book In 1996. The Principle Remains Somewhat Speculative And A Lot Of Its Support Relies On Correlational Data, But It’s Pretty Persuasive And Might Explain Why So Many Managers Are Bad!!!anyway, This Makes Me Want To Pick Up The Unread Copy Of “Bs Jobs” By David Graeber I Have Sitting In My Shelf (Tsundoku!!!!!)in Case You Were Wondering, Dilbert Creator Scott Adam Is Still *very Much* Around, And On Top Of Cartooning, He’s A Trained Hypnotist, Has An Mba, Is A Blogger And Podcaster, And Has A Slew Of Non-Dilbert Publications On The Topics Of Business And Religion (His Book God Debris Lays Out A Theory Of Pandeism Which States That The Universe Began When God Blew Himself Up To See What Would Happen). His Short-Lived Dilbert TV Series Won Him An Emmy, And He Is The Creator Of A Failed Microwave Burrito Company Called “Dilberito.” While The Dilbert Cartoon May Be His Defining Legacy, He’s Also Notorious For Making Outlandish (And Sometimes Very Harmful!!!) Claims On The Internet— Like Peddling “Anti-White Bias” And 2020 Electoral Fraud. Maybe Someone Should Promote Him To Manager So He Stops Making Wacky Political Takes!!!
