Fans of Daniel Kaluuya are calling for the actor to be the next Batman.
The 29-year-old has appeared Sicario, Kick Ass 2 and Black Mirror, but he was likely best known for his role in the 2017 film Get Out before going on to appear as W’Kabi in 2018’s Black Panther.
Now fans have seen Kaluuya in the superhero world, they want him back for more.
Digital director and journalist Rodrigo Perez put forward the idea that Kaluuya should take on the role of Bruce Wayne with a Twitter thread earlier this week.
Tweeting a picture of the actor, Perez wrote:
Hear me out. Ladies and gentleman, the next Bruce Wayne.
Here’s my pick for #TheBatman.

He went on to support his argument with quotes from Batman Begins, writing:
Remember, he can be anyone: “As a man I’m flesh and blood, I can be ignored, I can be destroyed, but as a symbol, as a symbol I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting. It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me. I’m whatever Gotham needs me to be.”
Nolan knew what time it was when he passed the torch at the end. Like Miles, anyone can be a hero. The character can be, no IS, bigger than just in person, one race, even one gender.
He continued:
Bats is a symbol: “A vigilante is just a man lost in the scramble for his own gratification. He can be destroyed, or locked up. But if you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal, and if they can’t stop you, then you become something else entirely.”

While Perez’s choice for the superhero was met with mixed opinions, many people across social media have also said Kaluuya would be a good fit for the role.
One fan of the actor wrote:
Daniel Kaluuya is tailor-made for Batman though.
While another tweeted:
I’d love to see #DanielKaluuya as Batman. That’d be awesome!
