In news that will shock literally nobody, a recent datamine has uncovered that the Red Dead Online beta will indeed include a battle royale mode.
Thanks to intrepid Twitter user illogicalmods, we know much more about the game than the previous tenuous leaks gave us.
‘Make It Count’ will be a 32-player game mode where you must scavenge for weapons inside an ever-shrinking circle, with only one person coming out on top.
Fingers crossed the music will be provided by a Mariachi band whose music gets more and more intense as you get closer to the finish.
There’s also some other modes making their way to us in the beta, and you can check out the full list via illogicalmods’ tweet below.

Of course Red Dead is just the latest in a long line of video games that have adapted the battle royale mode into an already successful business model. Call of Duty Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode is probably the most notable from this year.
It’s only a matter of time before we’re all 360 cross-map no-scoped by a yee-hawing 12-year-old as we frantically search for a rusty cattleman in Armadillo.
Let the good times roll.
