BethesdaFallout 76 isn’t off the to the strong start Bethesda was probably hoping for, at least in terms of physical UK sales.
The open world multiplayer survival game has been met with a less than enthusiastic reception from fans of critics, and it turns out that the game’s UK physical are in fact down 82 percent from Fallout 4.
BethesdaBethesda has yet to share any details on how the game has fared digitally, but given the lukewarm reaction so far it probably hasn’t been quite what the publisher wanted.
Even over on Twitch, it’s been reported that the number of people tuning into to watch Fallout 76 streams is well down from the number who were watching Fallout 4 streams back when that game launched.
Video game statistics website Githyp places Fallout 76 at No. 31 on its game viewership board for the year, behind the likes of Bloodborne and Dark Souls III. Not what you want from a new release.
Spyro The Dragon, meanwhile, boasts the current UK physical chart number one, beating the physical launch sales of other massive franchise releases, including Fallout 76 and Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee.
It’s worth noting that Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee are actually counted as separate games, so if you combined the two, Pokemon actually had the biggest physical launch of the week.
