Life is often complicated and full of strange situations. Relationships, work, family, and just everyday problems seem to overwhelm us and not work in our favor. It's hard to find something to look forward to and it seems like everyone is against you.
Bevs Boredom creates comics about these types of issues. She illustrates the daily struggles she runs into and puts a positive and humorous spin on them. She shares these situations with us so we can all feel less alone and realize that we all run into these types of problems. It's to laugh at them and try to see the positive side of things. That way we face the challenges that life throws at us head-on and are not afraid of anything!

The artist also shared what the main goal of her comics is: "When I started in 2018 I wanted a way to consistently practice my drawing and writing skills but now my goal is to help people feel less alone with things they face in their life."
Bev creates her comics by herself, however, she says that her boyfriend and sister are a big help with proofreading and coming up with ideas when she runs into art block.

Bev shared how she started to get into art and when she started creating these specific comics: "I've always enjoyed drawing, dating all the way back to me being a small kid. I used to draw Power Puff Girls way too much and I feel like that's where It all started! I started these comics in January 2018 and I hope to keep making them for a long time, it's really something I truly enjoy!"

The artist opens up about what the most difficult part of creating these comics is: "The more personal comics are definitely hard in the moment and I always have the thought of being judged by sharing, but it's always met with such positive feedback by my followers. It's nice to see that we can all have a safe space to talk about things and know we aren't the only ones going through tough times."

"My boyfriend is a huge inspiration, he is always so encouraging when I feel down about my comics or my art. He really helps lift me up in those times. My sister has also always, from the very start, been such a huge help with inspiring me and supporting me," said Bev when asked what helps her to move forward and not stop creating.

Bev has some advice for people who want to create comics themselves: "Make comics for you! Not for the likes or the follows or anything like that. Make content that makes you happy and just keep practicing!"

Here's some more information about the artist and her life's journey: "I just recently turned 27 this past February, which seems so hard to believe. I've been working full time as a Graphic Designer and working towards getting my master's in 2D animation. I graduate this May so I'm excited to be able to apply what I've learned into Bevscomics and start animating more! I recently made a short horror story on webtoons called 'Love Letter' and it was something I really enjoyed. I hope to start making more content like that as well soon! I feel like life has led me up to this moment, I remember feeling so down and lost when I first started making comics but it has truly helped me learn more about myself and I'm proud of who I am today."
