Digesting huge amounts of information on topics like health and diet, however, can be tricky. Luckily, Dr. Hunter Finn is willing to help. The Texas-based veterinarian regularly posts useful tips on TikTok where he tackles some of the most common issues.

Dr. Hunter Finn is trying to strengthen the human + animal bond

Dr. Finn started thinking of becoming a veterinarian at an incredibly young age. Eventually, he turned what was just a dream into a reality when he graduated from one of the country’s top veterinarian programs at Louisiana State University. His journey, however, was not as easy as it sounds.
During the clinical portion of vet school, Dr. Finn was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. He had to undergo surgery to remove cancer on his back as well as a few lymph nodes to be sure it had not spread. Dr. Finn then worked with a nutritionist to get his physical health back and finish school. He now practices in Arlington and is a perfect example of a young medical professional who is using social media to his advantage.

As helpful as his tips are, Dr. Finn says it’s really important to continue speaking to your pet’s veterinarian. Even about food. “I truly believe that there is not a single diet out there that fits every animal’s needs and this is why you should have a discussion with your veterinarian about what diet will best allow your pet to not only survive but thrive,” he explained.
