With the prospect of 47 years in prison in front of him, life couldn’t seemingly get any harder for Tekashi69 after he pleaded guilty to nine counts.

But now in an interview with TMZ, Sara Molina, the rapper’s former girlfriend and mother of his three-year-old daughter has said he has put them at risk.

According to unsealed court documents cited by The Daily Beast, on January 23 the 22-year-old agreed to cooperate with federal government officials and pleaded guilty to nine charges, including multiple charges of racketeering, conspiracy, and weapons-related offences.

6ix9ine told Manhattan US District Judge Paul Englemayer:

In the fall of 2017, I met and joined the Nine Trey Blood Gang. As a member of Nine Trey, the enterprise engaged in such activities including shooting at people, robbing people, and at times drug trafficking.

As members of Nine Trey, we had disputes with rivals of Nine Trey, including disputes with our own members who we deemed disloyal to our organisation.

We engaged in these various criminal acts to preserve and enhance the power of Nine Trey.

Molina told TMZ:

My reaction initially, I just think it’s disappointing. I expected way more out of the situation. Honestly to see all these men dragged into something that’s really ugly.

I’ve been with him seven years and the fame that he’s had within a year, the success, it’s just sad to see how it’s going now. It’s just disappointing and sad.

Asked whether she felt she and her daughter were at risk, Molina said:

In a sense, yeah, absolutely. He did what he did. He made his bed and now he has to lie in it. But he didn’t think how it’s going to effect others. He’s only thinking about himself in this situation. I’m left to pick up the pieces of whatever mess he’s made – which is, and has, always been a thing.

She added:

I don’t feel like he’s in a space right now. He’s in a space in life, a solid situation, I can’t feel comfortable allowing him to bring whatever he has with him into my daughter’s life. My job is to protect my daughter at all costs. Even if that means him.

Tekashi will be sentenced January 23, 2020. The mandatory minimum sentence is 47 years, though his agreement to cooperate allows him to gain leniency at sentencing.
