@alexsteinnn/TwitterYoghurt can be a delicious treat, whether accompanying oats as a wholesome breakfast or frozen with toppings as a tasty alternative to ice cream.
However, one grandpa got quite a shock after discovering he had slurped down a entire can of paint, believing it to have been a tub of yoghurt.
Luckily, the elderly gent – whose name is Bob – has a stomach of iron, with his stoic insides reportedly left ‘unfazed’ by his extremely unappetizing dessert.

Granddaughter Alex Stein tweeted pictures of Bob with his mouth covered with mint colored paint, alongside the following caption:
Sooo my grandpa ate half a quart of paint today thinking it was yogurt
She later provided an update, alongside a snapshot of a smiling Bob, face now squeaky clean:
Update: his stomach’s completely unfazed.
The tweet quickly went viral, with people from all over falling in love with likeable Bob.
One person jokingly referred to the paint as ‘paintstachio’, while another impressed individual remarked, ‘this man has the lead belly perk from Fallout‘.

However, others were unsure of how funny this incident was, with one person noted:
That’s not funny -not even remotely. This was one to keep to yourself. Your grandfather deserves his dignity.
Another said:
My dad is 88, and if my kids tweeted something like this, I’d be crushed by disappointment.
His fundamental dignity should be recognized, especially by loved ones. When they’re aware of it, cognitive decline is humiliating enough without being a prop on social media.
Responding to these fears, Alex assured that Bob was on board with his newfound social media fame:
He’s just a senile old man who’s over the moon cus people think he’s funny…(& yes, we called poison control, don’t worry!)
Hopefully somebody will get Bob a really decent tub of yoghurt to make up for this disappointment.
