Does anything say romance more than a savoury side dish, shaped like a heart, smothered in gravy and shared between you and your significant other? Well maybe, but I don’t want to know.
Because this year, to celebrate the totally awesome and always worthwhile Valentine’s Day, Aunt Bessie’s have literally redesigned the wheel, and are now selling heart-shaped Yorkshire puddings for the annual day of romance.
So don’t bother going out to a fancy restaurant on the 14th, get these monster puds down your pie hole instead!
Hannah Haas, Head of Marketing at Aunt Bessie’s, said, via Pretty52:
Our new Heart Shaped Yorkshire Puddings are a first for Aunt Bessie’s and have been created for customers looking to add a special touch to mealtimes. Whether it be a traditional Sunday roast or a quick mid-week meal our Heart Shaped Yorkshires will be sure to impress whatever the occasion.
A pack of six will set you back a mere £1.50, so you’ll have more money left to spend on flowers, chocolates, or any other aphrodisiac of your choice. Though with a heart-shaped Yorkshire pudding resting perfectly on the side of a slap-up roast dinner, your partner will be putty in your hands. Unequivocally.
If you’re not feeling these novelty accoutrements, fear not faithful traditionalist, regular-shaped Yorkshire puddings are still available from all good supermarkets.
However, if you’re feeling fancy and can’t get enough of that savoury goodness, Aunt Bessie’s are now also selling Yorkshire pudding wraps. So not only can you give your loved one a heart-shaped pud, but you can make them unwrap it by hiding it in a massive wrap! Kind of like pass the parcel but with Yorkshire pudding as the wrapping paper and Yorkshire pudding as the prize in the middle.
After all that stodgy, nutritious goodness filling your belly, you and your s/o are going to need some time to digest before carrying on with your romantic evening.
May I recommend to you the Big Mouth Valentine’s Day special – a one-off return to our small screens to bide us over while we await season three.
The creators of the best sex education I’ve ever had are back to honour Cupid himself and debunk some romance myths for a one-off Valentine’s Day special titled My Furry Valentine.
So sit back, enjoy your Yorkshire puds, and enjoy an animated comedy about the highs and lows of growing up. Valentine’s Day is sorted, you’re welcome.
