Ryan Reynolds Sends Gift to Deadpool Fan Who Changed Avengers Website

Ryan Reynolds has rewarded a fan who bought the Avengers: Endgame domain before Disney and redirected it to the Once Upon a Deadpool page with an amazing gift.

The fan, who’s only known by his Twitter handle, Guy Inchair (love a good Spider-Man: Homecoming reference), received an aluminium attache case from Reynolds.

It wasn’t an ordinary briefcase though, this was an ‘Aviation Attache’ case, an extremely limited edition product worth $850 and designed in collaboration by the headphone company Master & Dynamic, and Aviation Gin.

The Aviation Gin website describes the case as:

A one-of-a-kind limited edition gift that exudes American design and luxury. This unique case from Zero Halliburton, a revered aluminum luggage brand, includes a pair of black Master & Dynamic MW60 wireless headphones that were inspired by World War 11 aviator headphones, along with an Aviation Gin & Tonic carry-on cocktail kit (with miniature bar spoon, jigger, cloth napkin, artisanal tonic syrup, and 50 ml bottle of Aviation Gin).

Reynolds also tweeted Guy Inchair joking that ‘this isn’t to say I’m proud of what you did. Just that I happen to love you.’

Unfortunately for Reynolds though Guy’s got his eyes on a loftier prize, he wants tickets to the Avengers: Endgame premiere and isn’t stopping until he gets his hands on them.

Guy’s adamant that he’ll only give Disney the two ‘Endgame‘ domains he currently holds, both http://bit.ly/2A5QZhX and http://bit.ly/2S2SODe, in exchange for an invitation to the LA premiere.

So far Disney hasn’t cracked and invited Guy but there are 127 days (at time of writing) until Endgame’s released, so who knows maybe the pressure will get too much and they’ll crack.

I’ll be honest, I wouldn’t hold my breath Guy. Disney might invite fans to the premieres, but they’re not likely to respond to ‘their’ domains being held hostage well.

Still it’s a nice gesture from Guy as a portion of Once Upon A Deadpool’s profits are going to Ryan Reynold’s charity F*ck Cancer, which has been renamed F*dge Cancer to fit in with the whole PG-13 thing Deadpool’s got going on this Christmas.

Once Upon A Deadpool is a PG-13 (15 here in the UK) recut of Deadpool 2 with all the swearing and gore toned down but with the added benefit of a Princess Bride-style framing device.

Reynolds has jokingly admitted that donating a portion of the film’s takings to charity was the only way Fox could convince him to do the film, well that and one other thing.

He told Deadline:

Because it’s the season of giving, we will also be giving $1 for every ticket sold to F-ck Cancer, which will be renamed Fudge Cancer just for this limited-time ad campaign. Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006.

I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining.

Once Upon A Deadpool is currently showing in America until Christmas Eve.
