Buena Vista Pictures DistributionThe second Toy Story 4 trailer has dropped, and my excitement has officially zoomed up to heights of infinity and beyond.
The first teaser trailer – where we were introduced to new toy Forky – only dropped yesterday, and so this additional glimpse comes quite unexpectedly.
I must say, I think I may like this trailer even better than the first one…

The trailer introduces us to two very cuddly yet wisecracking characters, Ducky and Bunny who are the sort of prizes I never seem able to win at the fairground.
They may look adorable, but this duo are clearly no softies. The trailer opens with Bunny bragging about his run-in with a Cabbage Patch Doll, where he threatened to knock the the dimples of the doll’s face. An impressed Ducky then laughs uproariously at his friend’s escapades, describing Bunny as an ‘I Don’t Care Bear’.
Things then get a bit meta, with the chat moving towards the new movie trailer of Toy Story 4, a cinematic event which both plush toys appear thrilled by. Because, of course actual toys would be able to relate to Toy Story way more than humans.

Ducky and Bunny are carnival prizes who are eager to be won. But when their plans are rudely interrupted, they find themselves on an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.
Ducky is voiced by actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key (Pitch Perfect 2) with Get Out director Jordan Peele providing the voice of Bunny.
The Toy Story 4 synopsis is as follows:
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie.
But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”).
People have already warmed to Ducky and Bunny, and are particularly fond of already quotable lines such as ‘to infinity and your mom’ and ‘Toy Story is my jam’.

I personally enjoyed more or less everything about this trailer. I liked the classic Toy Story way of opening up the world of toys to explore new locations and found I wanted to know more about life at the carnival.
I liked the easy banter between Ducky and Bunny, their daft impressions and of course their infectious and completely understandable excitement over the upcoming sequel.
After years of relative silence from our favourite gang of playthings, the toy box is well and truly open and I cannot wait to see what’s inside…
Toy Story 4 will blast into UK cinemas June 21, 2019.
