Skyrim/New Line CinemaA franchise as epic as The Lord of The Rings demands an epic score. Composer Howard Shore was the man behind the incredible sounds of the movie trilogy, but if he doesn’t return for the new TV series, who will lend their skills?
As it turns out, Jeremy Soule is more than willing to lend his ear to particular fellowship. You probably know Soule best for his work on Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind of course.
I’m sure you’re familiar with it, but have another listen to the wonderful main theme of Bethesda’s open world classic Skyrim below, and tell me it wouldn’t be a match made in Sovngarde.
I still get chills every time I hear that to be honest. Anyway, Soule recently posted an informal poll on Twitter in an attempt to gauge interest among his followers and fans on whether or not they’d like to see him tackle The Lord of The Rings.
The response was, of course, overwhelmingly positive. A whopping 95 percent of followers gave Soule a resounding aye. Five percent aren’t keen on the idea, but they’re likely Sauron’s spies.

Soule revealed that he was “blown away” by the response to the poll, and confirmed that he’d embark on a little networking to see if he could make working on The Lord of The Rings a reality.
He said on Twitter:
I hope I can bring this world to life in music for you. It will just depend on factors beyond my control.
Outside of his work on The Elder Scrolls games, Soule has composed scores for a ton of quality RPGs, including Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and a bunch of Harry Potter video games.
Warner bros.The Amazon produced Lord of The Rings show reportedly has a budget of $1 billion, and needs to start production in the next two years as per the agreement between Amazon and the LOTR rights holders, so expect to hear updates on cast and crew sooner rather than later.
