BioWare’s very own man of mystery Casey Hudson has dropped some major hint-bombs that we’re about to hear some big Dragon Age news very soon.
In the latest update to his blog, Hudson gave fans a little glimpse into what’s going on over at BioWare towers.
We know that Anthem is coming along very nicely, and that it’s about to begin its alpha testing phase.
Things are happening with Mass Effect (though we don’t know exactly what) and The Old Republic team are still doing… something.
But the most intriguing update, however, was Hudson’s little tidbit about what’s going on with the Dragon Age series.
He wrote:
Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look…)
Now, in the cryptic world of video games, that could be up to interpretation, but it could also be a hint that we’re about to get a big announcement at the Video Game Awards.
The award show, which is held in December, has promised to show off 10 unannounced games, as well as wrapping up the industry accolades for the year.
It’s been four long years since Dragon Age: Inquisition was released and the franchise has been begging for a sequel ever since.
It should also be pointed out that Failbetter Games founder, Alexis Kennedy, hinted that he’d been working on a project that could very well be Dragon Age 4.
Either way, we’ll know at least something by the end of next month.
