The season to be jolly is approaching and so it is time to stock up your cupboards with plenty of bottles of booze.

And with Black Friday happening this week (November 23), there is no better time to pick up alcohol for cheap to ensure it keeps flowing throughout Christmas and New Year.

Always happy to help out, our friends at Lidl are selling a magnum of prosecco for just over a tenner in stores from Friday.

The supermarket is selling magnum bottles of their delicious prosecco for only £10.99 a pop which is great to pick up for festive celebrations.

And if prosecco isn’t your thing, you can get a bottle of Cava for just £3.49 or a bottle of French Chardonnay Pays d’Oc for only £2.88.

While these prices have been slashed saving you a couple of quid, Lidl are only selling the magnums for a limited time for Black Friday so you’d best get to your nearest store quick to take advantage of the offer.

Meanwhile on Black Friday it is probably worth popping into your nearest Morrisons too because they also have some treats awaiting you.

You can grab enormous 1.75 litre bottles of Hendrick’s Gin, Boodles Gin and Disaronno Amaretto for bargain prices as the supermarket gets into the festive spirit.

Why not hey?!?

Morrisons have great Black Friday deals on alcohol.Morrisons

The Hendrick’s bottle will set you back a hefty £60 but bearing in mind the story usually sells 70cl bottles for £28 and 35cl bottles for £19 you would be making quite a substantial saving.

Meanwhile the Disaronno bottle, which costs £30, will save customers more than £15 with the regular 70cl size being priced at £18.50 normally.

Meanwhile the Boodles Gin will set you back £40.

One thing I will also be picking up for Christmas alongside this booze is Lidl’s very own hangover-free prosecco which promises no sore heads the next morning.

The miracle ‘Organic Prosecco Spumante’ only costs £7.99 and claims to help you avoid having a hangover after a night of drinking.

According to Lidl’s master of wine, Richard Bampfield, the secret is that the prosecco is made using less sulphites which are linked to hangovers.

He said:

We’ve all had that shocking wine hangover. This is sometimes attributed to the sulphite preservatives used in wine to keep them fresher for longer.

Generally, organic wine producers use a lower level of sulphites in the production process, which means they are less likely to contribute to hangovers.

So if you don’t react well to sulphites you could be saying good riddance to hangovers with Lidl’s Organic Prosecco Spumante.

I suppose the only thing we can do is buy a bottle and drink it to test if it truly works.

Jumping on to the trend, Aldi released their own version of hangover-free prosecco earlier this year.

And just like Lidl, Aldi were also selling it for £7.99 a bottle which is a bit of a bargain.

I reckon this miracle elixir will change everything this Christmas!
