Stop the press, we’ve officially found the best thing to come out of 2018. No, it isn’t England (nearly) winning the World Cup. Or Love Island. Or the hottest summer the UK has seen in a long time.
It’s actually the matching dog and human Christmas jumpers that are currently on sale – just in time for the festive period.
Come on, face it. Isn’t this the best thing you’ve heard all year? Just imagine you and your pup all dressed up on the big day, posing for pictures in your matching jumpers.
Doesn’t the thought alone make you well up?
Obviously, there’s not a hope in hell that this will be happening with me and my dog because he’s a beast; the likelihood of me getting him in a doggy jumper are slim to none.
Also, he’d more than likely bite my hand off before I even tried to get the festive knitwear over his head. But oh well, a girl can dream, hey?
But for those of you who have well mannered pups who don’t mind a bit of festive cheer, Boohoo have just the thing for you.
On sale for just £10, the doggy Christmas jumpers are the perfect addition to any family photo and come in size small, medium and large.
There isn’t a lack of choice, as they are available in red, green and black – although black isn’t exactly screaming ‘Christmas’ at me, to be honest. I’m getting more of a scrooge vibe there…
Regardless of what colour you choose though, the matching equivalent is available for humans too, meaning you and your pup can get your groove on together.
Coming in at only £15, that means you can buy both jumpers for a total of £25 which is a total bargain. Especially when you think of the ‘gram opportunities.
If this isn’t for you though, and you’re still reminiscing about those bygone days where England still had a slither of hope at the World Cup, then check this out.
Gareth Southgate Christmas jumpers now exist, emblazoned with the words ‘Christmas is coming home’ on the back.
A jumper will set you back £35, which many would say is completely worth it to relive those magical few months in the summer when we believed we had a chance at football actually coming home.
The description on NotJust reads:
Remember those hot, halcyon days of the heatwave, watching England win on penalties with that waistcoat on the sideline? We do – in fact, we’ll never forget them. Christmas is coming home this year, even if football isn’t.
I mean, it’s something else, that’s for sure.
The jumper is available in sizes S-XXL, and the company do have a word of warning when it comes to the size you choose.
They say:
This is a fairly fitted Christmas jumper so if you’d like a relaxed fit, or a bit of room to, er, grow over the festive season, we’d recommend going up one size!
Basically, if you plan on stuffing your face and drinking copious amounts of booze for the entirety of December – which, let’s face it, is the whole point of Christmas – size up.
Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!
