Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally with us, crashing onto Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on a wave of rave reviews after nearly a decade in development. This is a glorious day.
By all accounts, Rockstar’s open world Western is absolutely, staggeringly massive. On top of a 60+ hour campaign, the game’s giant map is packed with side missions and fun little diversions. Clearly this is a game we’ll all be playing for a long time to come.
Rockstar GamesIn true Rockstar fashion, Red Dead Redemption 2 does, of course, come with a whole bunch of cheat codes – something you really don’t see in modern games anymore, as most developers would be happy to hide ’em behind a paywall and call it DLC.
Not Rockstar though. They’ve peppered their latest release with cheeky cheats that vary from the utterly ridiculous, to the genuinely helpful. IGN has compiled a full list of all the currently known cheats, but it seems there are even more yet to be discovered (about 30, apparently).
If you’d like to play dirty, you’ll need to pause the game, hit settings and press Y (Xbox One) or TRIANGLE (PS4) to enter the cheat codes from the list above – making sure to spell the codes correctly, of course.
You can then toggle the cheats on or off from the cheat menu, but do remember that enabling cheats will disable trophies and achievements, and that you need to pick up certain newspapers throughout the world to be able to use certain cheats.
