Dick & Dom, the lads, two peas in a comedy pod, are back with a bang!
That’s right, the comedy duo, who at this stage are veterans of the game, have returned for a one-off game of ‘Bogies!’ on the streets of London.
The pair started their TV careers on Children’s BBC in 1996 as Richard McCourt (Dick) and Dominic Wood (Dom) and they presented individually, only being put together by bosses in 1997.
Following a reinvention in 2001 led to the name Dick & Dom and the duo we know now.
Watch them play the famous game some sixteen years after its inception:
‘Our time at CBBC so far has been unbelievable. We’ve won four Bafta awards, presented hundreds of hours of live TV and worked with some amazing people,’ Dom said back in 2016.
Dick added:
I grew up wanting to follow in Phillip Schofield’s footsteps and become a children’s BBC presenter. I never dreamt I’d still be doing it 20 years on.Launched in 2002, this is where the pair really made their names (and launched the Bogies game).
The Saturday morning show picked up a couple of Baftas and ran for five series.

20 years later the much loved duo have built up a diverse collection of programming across different genres including the double BAFTA award-winning Dick & Dom in Da Bungalow, the BAFTA award-winning Diddy Movies and Diddy TV, The Legend of Dick and Dom and Splatalot.
Their science entertainment show Absolute Genius won them both another BAFTA for ‘best presenters’. Away from children’s television, the pair have hosted The Sunday Morning Show (BBC Radio 1) and Are You Smarter than a 10 Year Old (Sky 1). They also regularly DJ at student union events up and down the country.
In 2011 they received critical acclaim for their roles in the feature film Horrid Henry: The Movie. They have headlined Butlins twice with an 80 date sell out tour and in 2013 they trod the boards to rave reviews in the West End, starring as King Arthur and Patsy in Monty Python’s Spamalot.
They also take their live show to various festivals across the country including Camp Bestival, Alex James’s Big Feastival, CarFest and Jimmy’s Farm. In 2015 they starred in Cinderella, the World’s Biggest Panto alongside Paul O’ Grady and Bradley Walsh at the Barclaycard Arena. They have had a range of successful children’s books, including a bestseller. They have another book due for release in 2018.
